宇治市街地から少し離れた三室戸寺は、
四季という、四つの季節では表せないような
様々な表情を持っている古寺である。

時期によっては汗をかくほどの広さがあり、
新緑の季節には目映いばかりの緑は勿論、
迫力ある石楠花、緑に映える躑躅などが
緑のキャンバスを我先にと彩る。

新緑が過ぎれば、神々しいまでの蓮の花も綺麗だ。

誰だ、日本には四季があるなんていったのは。
四つじゃ全然足りないじゃないか。

Mimuroto-ji is placed little far from Uji city center.
It is one of the old temples in Kyoto, Uji city,
which is famous for its spacey temple gardens with
plenty of seasonal flowers.

In this season (early summer),
alpine roses, azaleas are in bloom.

After the season of fresh green leaves,
Lotus will be in bloom in good time.

Well, who said Japan has four seasons?
Four is definitely not enough.
